Yup brake dust is an issue with our cars. My rims look brown today after 4 days of driving with all the brake dust. I am going to upgrade to cool carbon pads to reduce this I think.

new to the forum here as I'm writing from Denmark, Europe!

I have actually decided to get a set of GTS-R in MattBlack for my 1 series but I wanted to hear if you have any experience with shipping a set of wheels with tyres to Denmark?

This specific wheel type is quite expensive in Europe, it's same absolute amount but here it is in Euro and in Dollars! And as you know the Euro is stronger then Dollar.

In short, have you ever had experience with customers ordering a set of wheels from your site and the shipping them to Denmark?

I don't think it will be cheaper, you will have a lot of import duties and taxes.
I ever made an inquiry to Alufelgen for shipping to Belgium, believe me, it was relatively expensive. So I decided to buy Breytons here.
Price : Breyton GTS-R Matt Gun 7.5x18 / 8.5x18 with Michelin PS2 225/245 = 2000€

It's always worth a look. Shipping costs vary widely across the world.

Yes, that's right Pol, the fact that they're grey makes the brakedust less visible ...

The only thing that is a downside to me is that the Breytons are 'only' 7.5 and 8.5inch wide. If I would upgrade from my 18inch M-wheels I would like to go wider, or with a bit more agressive offset. It's 4mm wider than the stocks, but 10mm would be better... and spacers are illegal in Belgium

Is there a specific reason why they legislate against them in Belgium? Have there been safety issues that are felt to be related to spacers?

I guess Belgium is just a fucked-up country. I can't see spacers of 10mm, especially on wheels with such high offsets (>45mm!) giving big problems...

I can see issues in wheels with ET15 or so, and putting on spacers of 25mm, then the ET gets negative and the point of attachment is on the 'inside' of the wheel. Could be dangerous when you hit a curb at high speed, your car would get pushed towards the curb...

Most of the guy's here even don't experience rubbing with 255's in the rear, although one guy noticed some. For that reason I stayed with non-runflat 245's. Some rubbing with 255's probably depends on tyre-brand.

Four 18x8.5 Breytons is the preferred setup, just requires 5mm spacers in the front. You can easily run 245x35 tires in front then.

I might be selling my matte grey (no red stripe) square setup including spacers w/lugbolts if I can get a decent price. Sold the 135i and they need 10mm spacers all around for the 335d.

I am running 4@ 7.5" x 18" with 225/40 continental DW. Ther is no need for any spacers. I think that it is a great setup as it noticably reduces understeer, improves on- center feel and stability and reduces weight by around 14# per corner over the stock set up with run flat tires. This is on a 128i with the sport package. As a bonus you can rotate the tires.

I didnt think the offset was right on the 18x8.5's and that 245's would also require some camber which would wear out the edge of the tire too fast. If it is doable I may get 2 more 8.5's and do that since I like that they are more concave looking. My car is still stock height as well.

Never had a problem in the front with my setup on stock 135i suspension. Maybe if your car is slammed the extra camber would be required.
