Super easy.
I've rarely driven my 1M now that it's winter though, so I've been unable to gauge how long my diy will last.
But I bought an ebay one for my last car, and it only lasted 6 months.
May I ask what you used?

I just made my own. I pulled out the factory stop and screwed a furniture leg pad into it, then reinstalled it. Firm, solid, and perfect size! If it breaks or falls out, I'll but one of the ones from ebay.

With all the slack gone, I am not sure I would need the CDV delete. Engagement is nearly immediate.
