Otherwise the weights are:

manual and (automatic)
128i: 3252 (3329)
135i: 3732 (3384)

That just doesn't make sense.

The manual 128i weighs 77 lbs less than the automatic. Hell, if the manual 135i is similarly svelt, then it only weighs 3307! 3332 is a conservative estimate since we can't be sure due to BMW's typo on this early brochure.
I like your logic. :w00t:

It would make sense for the manual transmission in the 135 to weigh more than the one in the 128, since it has to handle more power. I'm fairly certain the 328 and 335 manuals are different. I do agree that 400 pounds heavier makes no sense at all.

Peoples, it has been known for a loooooong time that the US would only get Leather and Leatherette. The lack of cloth is not a surprise!

I hate to rain on the parade, but the nice 6 piston brakes are not mentioned under the section covering that. I know it was mentioned in the original press release, but that could change if the Marketing wags deceide they want to make more money per car. Unfortunately there are alot of people that havn't experienced a really good 4 piston set up and don't appreciate it. (I say four because I don't even know of a 6 piston set up on a car for less than $75K). I hope this is just an oversight on BMW's part.

true even though they are shown in the photos; however it is clearly stated in the microsite that went live just a few days ago. so i'm not really worried.

two other things:
1) electric power steering ...
2) headlight washers standard on the 135i??? wtf?

When you see them, note that it lists the 135i manual's weight as 3732. That's the typo I was referring to. The correct weight has got to be 3332 to keep it in line with the other weights listed for the 128i and the 135i automatic. No way the manual trans weighs 400 lbs!
No, I think the correct weight for the 135 should be 3372lb, not 3332. Look at the weight for the 135i auto at 3384. If you compare the auto vs manual 335i you see a difference of 12lb. So it makes sense that the weight with manual should be 3372. They just transposed the 3 and the 7.
