Looking good. Those 225/255s really fill out the wheel wells better and look meatier, too. And look at the grip!

Ya, let's just go with the notion that I have to drive far today and am paranoid about getting a flat since I can't get my wheels off. I also had planned to pick up my performance suspension as well, but they're not open on Saturdays.

Obviously, I'm the best smelling thing that gets in my cars. Unlike Rick, you gotta fart in yours to season it properly, too, like a good set of copper pots and pans. And for the record, my only issue with the cockpit premium is that I can just barely handle the smell on the doors and dash and trim, but since me and owen2001 seem to be the only ones with leatherette, I didn't want to use it all over my seats as well in fear that smell would be overwhelming since I knew it'd linger for a bit if it went on all the seats. That's why I tried, got, and love the smell of the auto finesse spritz.

Wait...you fart in your copper pots and pans?! Guess we'll have to reschedule dinner at Greg's to celebrate his new suspension (and functioning wheel locks)!

Never said I was much of a cook. Might explain why most my food tastes like crap.

Off to do some canyon carving in my accent...with an accent.

It sure looks nice! I'm sure somebody will buy it - especially with the deals they have on the 1 series these days. Do you know what it's going for?

It was the first mod I did on my Z4 6MT... followed by a clutch stop and ZHP knob.

If you buy the Zeckhausen CDV replacement (as opposed to just removing the CDV totally), nobody will notice. Zeckhausen uses a factory CDV and modifies it.

You just have to make sure you install it correctly and make sure air doesn't get into the lines.

i think it's a pretty fair deal...especially as it is certified. the car was $50k MSRP so $39k certified with 18k highway/freeway miles is pretty solid IMO!

For those wondering how Michelin PSS in 225/255 fill out the wheel gap:

(Running Dinan camber up front so it's marginally higher than normal, -2.0* front and -1.7* rear)

BMW Corner at Work

Apparently we had a BMW only corner the other day at work with me, a heavily modified 5-series (don't think was an M5), and a beautiful e92 M3. There actually was a mineral grey 435 two spots over from the M3, but couldn't fit it in and the annoying parking guy on his golf cart stopped to just stare at me taking pictures and watch me. So, I cut the photoshoot short, otherwise I'd have backed in next to the M3 for a better picture.

Maybe we're all working in concert! Or...maybe there's a giant magnet behind that fence. It's okay cause we're all over the line towards each other and the fence, not ruining spots for others.

Good thing I didn't post THIS photo then!

I'll take that little grey one! That's just my size! (NO! WAIT! you can't post here! You can only post here if you have an "IS"! But Wait - gregthegr8 told me to be more active! Yeah but he didn't mean here! Did he? You're not worthy, you're not worthy! Oh go ahead, take a chance. What's the worst that can happen?)

We'll allow you. We even allow IEDEI, in spite of his second 2addicts site ban, and MARC08EX, too.

I'll take my lil grey one, too. I see that space gray M3 every day, and it's a beautiful car, and I love how it looks, but it's just way too big for me and what I want. I don't want anything bigger than our car. Heck, I'd have preferred something even a few inches smaller. When I park next to or right by that M3 it's shocking how much bigger it appears. It's similar to that recent 1M vs M4 pic.

I'll take our lil bastard hooligans any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

I know what you mean about the E92 M3. There's this mineral white metallic one in Montclair that is just so beautiful - and CLEAN! It's a 2012 with only 16000 miles on it. Photos don't do it justice. The paint looks like pearl white and is just spectacular! I've test driven it, just for fun. It is one special car, but as always, there's nothing quite like the E82.

I've driven a few E92 M3s and was totally underwhelmed.....too serious and not fun at all. I really don't care for their looks either....

i can confirm i have been banned from the 2-series forum. I believe for calling their cars a "luxobarge"....didn't realise how sensitive they are! Must have something to do with owning a 235 that has an "M' in front of it.

We allow everyone, Even Esteban.

We just provide 313 porn for you Marc. =P

For those of you with (Esteban, Marc) or considering the performance suspension, here's a poignant review and comparison from the artist formerly known as Dan at United:

"A quick review: The car's handling is PHENOMENAL! Ever driven a 330i ZHP? Or even better yet, an E46 M3 Competition Package? This car is better than both. Our tech test drove it to see if everything was in the right area; it was. I test drove it down a block, and as did Eric Rossman (Service Advisor). The car handles like a dream, it feels like body roll has been eliminated from the vehicle. Obviously, we can't prove this as it hasn't been on the track. The drop is conservative, a .75 inch drop in the front, and .5 inch drop in the rear. New front sway bar, new struts and shocks along with all the minor pieces to go with it.

The vehicle's drivability is excellent. For most occasions, you would never know the vehicle is lowered or on a different suspension. The difference in handling is noticeably different. It feels like driving a stock car when driving over bumps and imperfections, but once you turn into that corner, you can tell a suspension kit has been put into place. "

Damn you, greg! Just when I think I'm not interested in the performance suspension, you go and post a thing like that.

I was also never a fan of the looks of the E92 M3. The side profile is just super underwhelming. Fender flares aren't aggressive enough. The new F80 M3 on the other hand...is a looker.

That's what I'm here for...to spend YOUR money. I secretly get kick backs from Michelin, Schmiedmann, and BMW. You need to do it just for the yellow springs. =P

Well, hopefully in about a week I'll have some impressions of my own, though I've never driven a ZHP or e46 M3 with competition package, so not sure how valuable my feedback and guidance will ultimately be.
