Problem with bmw performance boot/knob
How do you manage to get the new boot/nob to stay on the stick??? The factory M knob/boot has three teeth that hold the boot into the nob. Last night I was shifting fast and my nob just flew right up off of the stick. Very annoying, if I pull up with some force the thing comes off way too easy.
Here are some pictures showing the problem.

The three teeth that hold the boot to the knob have NOTHING to do with whether or not your knob will come off. Those teeth simply hold the boot up, they do not hold the knob down.
If you knob is coming off, you need to try and reset the knob and maybe really make sure you push it on. I have the performance knob and have no problems with it coming off. |

I'm not missing anything, they just state push the knob on... there is nothing to lock the knob into place, if you pull up with any force it comes off.
