1000 Miles Service..

When I bought my car 1 month ago, my sales person told me that I should bring my car in for a service after 1000miles for a dignostic check, but when I called the service department today they said I shouldnt change my oil until the computer say so. Is that true? what should I do? I heard its better to change your oil after 1000 but if they dont cover it should I change it myself?

Ohh I c thanks. but i heard they do the service to check if everything is working properly iono I guess 15000 till next oil change.

Wow i think my hpfp is dieing and I have 890 miles. it crank for like 10 seconds before it start and the car was warmed.
