But it has the standard steering wheel and shifter. I would imagine those are the standard seats as well.

BMW sports seats weights ~3kg/seat less than sport seats can be connected with heated seat controlling aviable for 1 series and 3 series (excluding convertibles) not for US sales!

Since many posters have already pointed out that the seatback bolsters are both generous and adjustable, the issue remains on what to do with the seatbottom bolsters.
I would suggest to anybody who finds them insufficient for spirited driving to install the $40 CG-Lock, it works absolutely incredibly with these sport seats. I had the CG Lock in my E46 (Sport Pack) and it was not as good - it did keep your bottom in place, but since the bolsters on the seatback were fixed, the torso would move around a lot during track driving. But with the E82 sport seats, it will be much better.

http://www.linquist.net/motorsports/articles/cg-lock Obviously, there are benefits and drawbacks. Personally, I could not stand to use the product, as I would not want to feel so much restraint and constraint. Unless I am on the track, I prefer the support of a good sport seat, and have no interest in being tied into the seat.

But, it works exactly as advertised - and without any of the drawbacks of a 4 point plug-n-play harness like the Schroth.

its funny that lock feature comes standard on a corvette. you just pull the seatbelt all the way out and then when you feed it back in it's locked. it was a really uncomfortable thing and i never used.
our sport seats are great, i'm a pretty slim guy and the sides can be adjusted to squeez me tightly, too tightly actually

It's also standard on our rear seatbelts, perhaps the passenger one too. It's meant for securing child seats, so I find it a little strange that Cevy put it on the driver's side.
