What would these do?

The 335 version of these got a good write up in the May eddition of Performance BMW magazine. Would feeding more air into the standard intake help? Is that what these do? If so, what would the effect be when driving? |

Basically without getting too technical, a cold air intake is a scoop like device used to bring lower temperature air into the car's engine, to increase engine power and efficiency.Similar to driving your car on a cool winter night or early chilly morning..

Theres a heap of info on the main forums re cold air intakes.
The general consensus appears to be they are not worth it unless supporting mods are done, and even then gains are questionable in many instances. |

The stock system is pretty good anyway. You are improving from 8/10 to 10/10... so if you are a perfectionist, that will suit you.
I doubt it will increase air flow per se, so I don't know if they will increase power in a stock ECU map.
