AW 1M with Gloss Black OEM 18" M3 Wheels
Thought I would post some pictures of my new wheel/tire setup. About 26k miles and my original tires had seen better days, so I bought some brand new OEM 18" M3 wheels and tires (standard equipment Michelin PS2's) that were taken off a local M3. I wasn't too fond of the new silver wheel color BMW started using in the late production M3's, so I had these powder coated gloss black. I really like the contrast this offers against the AW body.
What do you guys think?

I am generally not a black wheel person but they look great with the AW.
Personally, I think that 18's (maybe the OEM 18" M3 wheels in gunmetal) should have at least been optional on the 1M. As pretty at the OEM 19s we get look, I really have come to despise them. |

I have the same in gunmetal on my BSM 1M. In combination with Michelin PSS a much better setup than stock!

Glad everyone likes 'em!
I think the ZCP wheels look good enough on their own, whereas these 18's didn't really look all that great until they got powder coated. Now I can switch back and forth when I get bored of the color, haha.

I think I prefer silver or gun-metal wheels but the black does contrast well with the bodywork. It's hard to see the wheels' spoke pattern in the photos but maybe it's easier in the metal? |
