Hey,

Do you guys want a Calendar for 1 series?!?!

If you do, Start with this thread and start uploading your BEST PICS!! They must be your Pictures, or have Permission to use them~!

HERE is what needs to get done in-order to have one:

1) Twelve very nice 300 DPI photos of your favorite cars.
2) Twelve sponsors who specialize in 1 series- (Suggest them)
3) Have atleast 1,000 PPL who will buy them.

-You get 5 copies free if you contribute your photo
- The sponsor gets 5 free copies
- The other obvious benefits.

The deadline is August 20th for submissions, to print in September, and mail in October...

If you guys can prove that it can be "reality" I will undertake the project, but not without your help on the items above!

Hey, I looked at your "photocontest" sticky... I could use about 7 of those if available in high res! The one up top looks cool too! Not sure about SPONSOR THOUGH? They Help Bring the Cost Down a lot!

You can easily change the dpi on any image. What's important is the physical print size after you set it at 300dpi.

I need to know 2 THINGS!!! VERY IMPORTANT!

1) HOW MANY 1ADDICTS ARE ON THIS SITE? approx.?
2) DEPENDING UPON ACTUAL FIGURE, AND NO SPONSORS WOULD YOU PAY $20.00 Shipped domestic 48 states?

-The Reason I am Saying this is if we are going to do a short run of 250/500 copies the price is more than if we did a 1,000.

Sponsorship Definatly offsets the cost for you guys! Cost of Sponsorship is $250/ month, upto 3 Months non-consecutive. Someone Could really get some good press by sponsoring it!

Not that I don't think this is a good idea, or don't want to contribute, but why all the fuss over having sponsors and selling 1000 calendars and etc.? Anyone can print a customized calendar or book these days for pretty cheap, so why don't we all just submit our photos, state whether we want to BUY a calendar (because I would, I don't care to have 5 free ones), and have someone get X number printed (instead of 1000)?

Just my 2 cents, I still think it's a great idea, just don't see why you need to go through a lot of this trouble unless you're in it for profit (in which case I think 5 calendars compensation is peanuts compared to what you would make selling the other 940).

Will submit one or two of mine later.

Hey, I hear you... THIS IS ALL HYPOTHETICAL FOR NOW! Any quantity can be done 250/ 500/ 1000, does not matter! I love being creative so offering this to the 1er community is natural reaction. However, the basic thing you need to realize about printing is that to achieve the best quality and lowest price per piece you need volume. Digital printing is an option to do low quantities.

More importantly, I think a 1 series Calendar will be SICK! Photos are amazing so far! If this enthusiasm keeps up... I will do the due dilligence to get cost and details hammered down for you guys! Later!
