Official Owner's ALPINE WHITE 1M Photos
Here are the pics from my PCD earlier this month. I can't really add anything new that hasn't already been said a 100 times here, both the PCD and car are amazing!

Official Owner's ALPINE WHITE 1M Photos
Thanks to a tip from mfinch99 earlier this week, I went to Nashville yesterday and took delivery of a loaded AW 1M. This was a car that was apparently ordered by a broker and he was dragging his feet on taking delivery because he was having trouble lining up a customer to pay whatever markup he was wanting to flip the car. The dealership held it for a reasonable period of time and finally decided it was time to move it out of their inventory. So, I happened to be in the market at the right time and had the flexibility to jump on the deal when I learned about it. And, the car was sold at MSRP, which met my requirements.
The delivery was very efficient and I was in and out of there in a little over an hour. No catered lunch with the local BMW club and no balloons, but I was thrilled with the efficiency and the fact that I could quickly get on the road headed back to the west (~850 miles to home). The drive back was all interstate, but I'll try out some back country roads this next week near central Texas. This is, without a doubt, the most comfortable and capable car I've driven on the highway. I am sure it will be even more competent as I get a chance to exercise it a bit in the coming weeks on some more interesting roads and tracks. A few photos pre-delivery and then in my garage. |

A few more of my AW, now with tinted windows. I had these done at Sunbusters in Austin, using their ceramic material. Front windows are 15%, rears and back window are the darker 30%. Makes a huge difference in the Texas heat!

Saw my first AW 1M today and it was impressive. I'm deployed to Tampa and my wife and daughter flew in to visit me over the weekend. I took my wife to a local dealer in Tampa to check out the roominess and idrive in a 135, so she has an idea of the 1M we ordered. While we were there, I noticed a 1M near the service area. It was an employees AW 1M AND it was parked next to another employees AW E92 M3. Oh shit, I'm glad I ordered it in AW and I can't wait to get it.
It looked like a freakin bulldog, waiting to clobber something. I took a ton of picks and eye-f#@ked the crap out of it for a few minutes. My wife noticed a wet spot on my shorts. |

AW currently on ED 9/3-9/14
I am in Switzerland now, jsut finished driving Fluela Pass! Ive got a full report coming, here are a couple favorites. We've got Germany, Austria (grossglackner), italy (dolomites), and switzerland (fluela). The last pic is me, just finished fluela, stopped to have a bier - life cant better
Having a blast tearing through the Alps with incredible car. The car just pulls, pulls, pulls!! This is even keeping careful control on break-in - there is more to come.... The car pulls UPHILL on these alpine passes, just leaving most everything in the dust. Dr Segler said "You will love it"....I do
