I find it strange that this thread was started by Cobb, but they seem to be MIA of late and all we get are people speculating.
I have no idea who's associated with Cobb and who's not. If it's not a post by Cobb, I consider it speculation.

Because you can only say "we're working on it" so many times. Hopefully someone can loan them a Dinan tuned N55 so they can take a look at how they cracked the ECU.

Map updates! We are working on providing new improved maps on all our Stage 1 and 2 levels, as well as adding Stage 1+FMIC.

N55: We are hard at work and making some big improvements. Unfortunately the reverse engineering process can have unclear time requirements, so it's hard to anticipate release dates. But we are working very hard on it with full time engineers so it's NOT sitting on the side waiting for somebody to get to it

Launch control, meth maps, and race gas maps are something we would love to offer, but we have some other BMW goals to meet first. Those are things on our radar though and I'll make sure to mention them again to Rob this week.

I'm picking up my N55 in a few weeks when it's delivered! The longer it takes, the longer I have to not have to spend my money on a mod! :-P lol. If I look at it that way.. I won't feel too impatient.

Don't worry about the N55 focus on meth maps and race gas maps

If they want a Dinan tuned N55, contact me I'm in Houston and they are 150 miles away in Austin. Oh, and I enjoy the drive.

Hi All, the Cobb website indicates that Stg 1 gains for the 135i are 21%HP / 28%TQ, whereas the 335i and 535i both get 30%HP / 38%TQ. Seems like a big difference for cars with the same engine, albeit different exhausts. Thoughts?

Also, any difference for auto vs manual gains? I remember seeing somewhere that gains on the manual cars were greater, but I couldn't verify.

The 135i catback has been pretty restrictive in our testing and that's why we have the difference in the gains for the 1 series.

Are you talking about 135i n54 ,n55 or both? Stock midpipe on n55 is catless. Did you find an axle back on 135i with n55 restrictive too?

Hey guys. I have an 08 135i, and just installed DPs on it last night. My other mods are COBB stage 1, AA FMIC, ER hard pipe, HKS Bov, and BMI intakes. I was going to install COBB stage two last night, but it was Late by the time the DPs were installed. Anyway, this morning on the way to work, the car threw a "service engine soon" light. I'm still stage 1, so a good bet would be I just need to upgrade to stage 2 to clear o2 issue? Car runs awesome otherwise, huge difference just with DPs at stage one. Thanks for any info!

Most likely its because you are still stage 1 with downpipes, but just make sure you check on your AP what the code is. Stage 2 and 2+ will take care of that annoying SES from the catless downpipes.

Hey all, does anyone know whether you need DP's to run stage 2+ on an n54? I understand it's a recommended mod, however I plan on swapping out the midpipes and getting rid of those cats, as well as doing a DCI and FMIC. Will running stage 2+ with all recommended mods besides the stock DP upgrade damage my car, or will I just not be getting as much power as I could? Thank you in advance for all the help.

I attempted searching for this, but couldn't find anything on it, and this is a rather long thread and wasn't going to read every post, so I'm sincerely sorry if this has been asked before.

Dp's are a required mod for stage 2 and 2+FMIC you'll need Dp's to run stage 2 period.
