Hey, I got the BMW Performance Carbon Fiber spoiler, and was wondering it the CSL bootld would still accommidate this spoiler, it looks much more rounded, so not sure, it would be nice...

Also, will both the trunk and the hood be available in Carbon Fiber? Some don't like the look, but its hard to argue the sheer weight saving of these large sections... and if u don't like the way CF looks, just paint over it!

Just like with any other part you can get it to fit depending on how much time, effort, and $$ you put into it.

If you are concerned with down force, the VCSL bootlid will provide enough to keep that rear end planted.

OK Guys, new developments:

Pricing will be the same as this hood

We will need a commitment of 20 orders minimum before we produce this hood. We will figure out this friday if that is going to be possible, whether or not we'll take deposits, etc...

But as a preliminary straw-pole, at that pricing, will 20 of you 100% for sure buy this hood?

Thanks
JL

It's hard to say that we will 100% purchase this, with out seeing a real example on a car. I know that i wont pay 1300+ without seeing fitment and how it looks on top of that.

What you guys should do is make one for your guys 1er and then when the public sees how amazing it looks it will make us purchase them.

I had Vorsteniner products on my E90 and they were great, but I wouldn't care if BMW was making these products. I still would not say that for 100% that I would buy until i saw a real product on a car.

Not knocking Vostenier here, like I said I had many of their products on my e90 and all of them were great.

Perhaps we'll have Vorsteiner modify an OEM hood to look like theirs will (which will be used for the mold) - but even then, there's still a significant investment involved. We'll have to see some interest and deposits first!

Thanks

yeah well they are a company, obviously there is already interest, so they need to take the RISK aka. initial investment and sack up

Where are they located? I may consider helping fund the project to get a prototype done if they are in So Cal and we can agree on terms.

They are in Orange, and the main thing is that they would probably need your car for 1-2 weeks.

Thanks

What do you guys think about a flat eyelid instead of the rounded one from the sketches?

Wow I actually think it looks really nice!! Makes it look really aggressive. There seems to be some type of cut in between that I don't like, but thats obviously because its a ps or eye lids or w/e, I'm sure the real thing will look amazing.

Those are actual eyelids on amsfoto's car - he posted the pics in the photos forum. I kinda dig it, except how it overlaps some of the halo ring. I wonder if its possible to avoid that though...
