Most likely yes. Literally only just got home and noticed so haven't looked into all my options yet. Just thought I'd give this a shot first.

mmm, looks barely damaged.

fender, door, bonnet pillar - surely must be much more than that.

yeah NFI

i mean.. the wheel is still straight, and seemingly not mangled.

but writeoff would be what.. $50k 'insurance value' of damage? 40k at least? visually, without looking up close for any frame damage, there's not more than $5k there?

it doesn't look like a car hit though, the door isn't crushed.. and well, the front corner is still mostly visibly in tact, there wasn't a roll, the roof is fine.. then again, on closer look, the a pillar looks like it's taken a good whack. not cheap i'm guessing.

reasonable speed bike hit right around the front of the door/pillar/guard?

over zealous insurance agency?

then again... often when you see these cars in person you go 'ohhhh.. wow'. would like to know when it goes up to the hammer!

That's really sad to see and it feels kinda like picking over a corpse, but I want that engine cover...

speculation but looks like it was hit directly into the front right wheel. Steering, suspension, possibly frame damage?

I'm surprised ... No airbags deployed so it may have been hit when parked but even so, the damage doesn't look serious.

Hey guys

Have a brand new set of pedals (accelerator is a full replacement pedal unit not just a cover & brake cover this does not include the dead pedal)

Price: $SOLD$

BMW Part #: 35000410100

Reason for sale, I ordered a shit load of parts for a mate with a dct equipped m3 but they wont fit DCT as I found out only steptronic (DCT's require a manual pedal set as the DCT has a smaller brake pedal)

Location: Perth WA

Guys it is not a Statutory write off it is a repairable writeoff so can be repaired and registered in any state except NSW. Even once registered interstate could then be reregistered in NSW.

It will be back on the road.

Cheers

None the less I think we are failing to see the "cost" to repair to make it a write off??
I.e why didn't insurance pay to fix repairs? Surely repairs would cost less than payout :S

sometimes things get written off without costing too much (rarely)... maybe all the quotes came back incredibly high

or maybe the cost really is way too high.
