Painted License plate surround Black

What do you think of this quick an easy mod? Painted the area around the License plate.

I was thinking of doing this with vinyl so I could remove it if I don't like it. I have a white car with some vinyl wrap on it (roof, front bumper, and soon the performance side skirts).
I like it but it's a hard choice lol

I think I like it better on dark colored cars

I forgot to mention its Black Plasti-Dip, so it's removable.

Adds some contrast, not bad. Think it would look better in gloss personally.

Did you do your mirror caps in gloss to match your shadowline trim? Could look good.

I have gloss carbon fiber mirror caps on mine, to match my rear diffusor and trunk spoiler.

So I've never plasti dipped. But I'm thinking of doing gloss black rims. A whole new world has opened to me

Of course I can't find it now, but there's a company that makes ABS plastic inserts that fit there with adhesive. I wanted one, but the only thing they had in stock was "carbon look"

Nonetheless, I think it looks great. I've never used plastidip but wouldn't that location be prone to peeling?

Looks good with the diffuser. Ever thought of adding blacklines? Would probably go well with your look.

There's nothing M Performance about your car to deserve that door sill sticker

No, actually when I lift the trunk you don't even touch the part that is painted. Plastic-dip is pretty durable.

I went the Plasti-dip route on my stock rims before I got my VMR's .......Never again. To much upkeep and if you ever take it off it's a pain in the ass to get it out of the small spots.

Rear plate section looks dope. Gives the car an aggressive look, also works well with the grey.

Nice work and cool idea. BMW actually sold factory fillers for the E30 and E34.

I was referring to wind damage from the air cowling the rear of the car.

If all else fails, I found it...
