DP Install and 30FF (boost leak)

After the catlxx AR DP installation, my 1 kept throwing 30FF (boost leak) error codes whenever the engine is under load.

Yesterday, we looked under the car and see if the v-clamp bolt was blocking the waste gate actuator rod or not, and sure it was.

We un-installed and re-installed the DP again and make sure this time the v-clamp bolt is not blocking anything; and this time, we have to unbolt the steering rack in order to find more room to work with the DP. It took us total of 3 hours doing it this time. It is really a pain in the butt.

After the fix, I punched the gas pedal at varous rpm at different gear and no CEL light was poped up, so this is a very good sign that the problem is fixed.

The real benefit is now suddenly I can feel the additional 40-60 more hp and ft-lb working under the hood since the fix.

I am real happy that we found and fix the problem and now my 1 can reach the maximum output with all the mods working together.

The DP is giving you 40-60hp?

Which DP that you are installing? I would imagine all other 2.5" DPs would be eariser to install than AR's 3" DP.

By removing the steering rack which will give you more room to install the DP.

I bolted my v-clamp with the open end facing up with the bolt sitting vertically, Its how the tech bolted them up when he was replacing my turbos.

Only time I threw a 30FF code was when my charge pipe blew off under pressure. I hate having to check for codes other than the ones that my dps are throwing.
