Drifting in the snow on my 135i w Performance (vid)
There's nothing oh-so-awesome about this vid, it's just my frist try to slide on fresh snow on my 135i with Performance Package. There wasn't much space to gain speed, so it's basically very lame drifting. However I thought that since snow is rather rare in most parts of US - here's your chance to see one 135i doing IT:
Enjoy and happy new year everyone! |

I can't believe anyone would drive such a fine car like the 135i in the snow. that mess would drive me insane.
oh hell no. my 135i would be sitting inside a climate controlled garage hibernating 'til that crap was melted away.

The way I see it, a car is either for show or go (to me at least)...
If I had to always show the car and keep it perfect then yes it would be in a heated garage all winter. The cars that I own I like to drive them so who cares if they get a chip or a ding here and there as long as I am having fun! There is no inbetween |

If I did not take my 135i out in the snow, it would seat in my heated garage for months. I got it to drive it with our without snow. Being my first BMW or rear wheel drive vehicle I was surprise of how well it drives in the snow (with snow tires) of course. This cars are asking to be driven and they are a blast no matters what...

Driving in the snow is awesome. I wait until its really late and you can drift everywhere on unplowed roads, assuming there are no other cars/ officers of the law present

Cool... Not sure I'd call it "drifting" though. I'd refer to this as a cookie or burnout, whereas a drift is wagging the rear while sustaining the turn and continuing in motion.
Thanks for sharing the video. Liked the sound of the exhaust...

I love seeing AW in the snow!
BMW's are engineered for driving in the snow so there shouldn't be a problem. It might be a good idea to clean the underside of your car after the winter, to remove traces of salt to prevent any possible corrosion. |

Snow
Can't imagine driving mine in the snow like that. I'll use my SUV if I want to play!

I got 2 things out of the vid...seeing what my car could potentially look like with snow/salt all over it and hearing a Performance exhaust under load!
(check and verifies my super clean car in my climate controlled garage) Thank you!!!

Here in America we have something called "snow plows" or "snow blower" to clear sidewalks, lots, driveways, although you did start to get the hang of it at the end and its a lot more fun!
