automatic seat recall thing?
Is there a way, without physically holding the button, to have the seat go to the number 1 memory position? I remember seeing something on the idrive screen about like moving the seat back after unlocking, or after putting the key in. i move the seat all the way to clean and stuff. and then i would like to just hit one button and shut the door, and have it go to where its suppose to. My Acura did it.

I don't think that is possible. Me and the wife just press the numbers 1 or 2 for seat recall. You would think that it could be possible since the key FOB can change certain things like the radio. My truck works like that and it is great. It adjust the seat and everything before I even get in the truck.

Make sure you and your wife use separate key fobs so that the settings are retained individually. Also, you have to open/lock with each individual key for all the settings eg. radio/climate/seats to be memorized.

I have comfort assist but no nav. According to the manual you can set the memory seat call up to work when you unlock, or when you open, the doors. I can't seem to get this to call up at all when I open the door. Computer says it's set but it won't reset the seat to my preset position after I've moved the seat manually to another position. What am I doing wrong?

I have comfort access and I only have to hit the button once for it to move, I'm assuming it's because I don't have the key in the ignition like you guys have said. I set up the car through the stalk to have the seat go to my position when I unlock the car and it works about 95% of the time since I have electrical problems with my CA, seats, and mirror memory though.

Now mine's working fine. Calls up position 1 on both my wife's and my fobs. No idea why it starting working but it is something they should all do.
When in the car, only have to hit it once (have CA) when engine's not running.
