TopGear Season 13

Anyone else notice this during the season opener of TG? Went by pretty quick...hard to make out.

Yea I saw that flash by in the 1st episode... had to rewind to make sure it was actually a 1. Looks like a 130 hatch with a wide body!

I think this looks like that tube-frame mid-engine AWD rally car with the renault (?) engine that looks like a 130i that we've seen elsewhere before.

Yea I think you may be right. I just watched it over slowly and here's some shots from the side, rear, and interior. Doesn't look much like a BMW at all except for the front at a weird angle. Not sure why they'd be driving a BMW in snow anyway...

^^^I don't know. The front view and the side look like different cars. Look at the lights and the colors on the hood. The mirrors are also different shape.

The front view definitely looks like a 1.

I just did a lil' goggle searchin' about that 1 series ice racer, and it came back with an article about some ice racing series in Quebec. You can read the article here.

Just saw the last Top Gear episode, and it was indeed a 1 series! I think it was a 120 hatch and it was doing ice racing like you said. They didn't have much else about it though heh

Those are 2 completely different cars in those stills.

Hi...we here in the UK just saw the programme (last sunday i think) in which JC, JM and DH (aka Hamster) raced on the ice with Olivier Panis (whom they called France's 2nd best racing driver!) in umm...can't remember. Suffice it to say that the car shown was Panis' 1 series with ice kit.
