Car intermittently shaking side to side upon start up

Hi all,

I'm experiencing the car intermittently shaking side to side upon start up, (ONLY when the car is warm).

now, it is NOT a violent shaking but more of a subtle shaking and it only last for about 3 seconds.

I brought this issue up to the dealer at it's last service but they could not get the car to do it, because it happens so seldom.

2011 128i 30,000 miles.

Has anyone had this issue before ?
What could be the problem ?

Thanks ahead of time!

jay

I sort of have this issue. I take a drive, park for a few minutes, start up the engine again, and it is a rough idle for me. the tach fluctuates between 800-1000, and the car is sort of wiggling.

Does the wiggling you experience go with any sounds from the engine?

My 135i DCT does this same thing. Almost like the rev drops a tiny bit and kicks back up. Barely noticeable but shakes your butt ever so slightly.

AIC, MAP/MAF, Plugs, Fuel system.

In that order.

No, the wiggling comes with no sounds from the engine. And the tach does not move. It's strange.
