volume level..can we get numbers??
Is there anyway to make it so the radio shows numbers when you increase or decrease the volume?? I have had this in my other cars. I kinda miss this... it wld be nice to know what level i am at as I raise and lower the volume on the radio...

What would you do with that information? Let's say you were at volumn level 6 - and found it too loud - would you change the volumn level to 5? Why does it matter if it is a 6 or 5 or 7? That is what ears are for. This is an example of a non essential piece of distracting information that is not needed in the cockpit of a car.

So a volume indicator is distracting but having an idrive with everything it does isn't? As posted in the other thread also:
I think you can look up the sound level in the radio's secret menu. 1. turn on the radio 2. press button "m" or "tp" for at least 8 sec. 3. "+" and "-" to navigate through the menu (there must be a submenu "volume" or something like that, then use the volume-knob to see how high the level goes) 4. turn off radio and on again cheers flo |
