Facelift
Hi,
Just wondering what other members thoughts of the new facelift changes of the 1 series? What's your opinion of the new "eyebrows" and rear lights? |

I didn't know photos were out (apart from the 1M ones).

I actually think they've managed to fit the brow in quite well. I don't mind the tail lights, either.

My opinion on the eye brows and rear lights: they look fine, good thing is the housing of the headlight stays the same not like the 3 series pre/post LCI so it'll be easier if you want to retrofit after market headlights in.
My personal verdict (i could be wrong tho): a couple of months from now, and at most a year, all bmw forums will be flooded with after market 1M front/rear bumper and all/most of the other 1M exterior styling. Just look at what happened in the e46s' prime time. |

Not that keen on the eyebrows - in my view a lot of these updates result in a loss of design integrity that is evident in the original.
I like the tail lights though. |

Not a fan of the headlight brows. And I'd like to see the tail lights before making up my mind.

Style never sleeps .. our current model cars will look old and dated before too long because of the LCI

That's kinda the only thing i hate about BMW, when you buy a pre facelift, a short while after you'll feel like crap when the facelift comes out, and if you buy a facelift, then the model is almost at the end of it's life cycle and you'll be hit with the new one coming in like a year or 2...

I am disappointed at the lack of LED indicators for the front and rear, lack of LED brake lights like the 3er LCI and the retention of the yellow halogen angel eyes. Eyebrow looks fine to me.

I'm putting vanity aside, my car is the best driver I've been able to afford personally to date and I don't expect to give anything else a look in until the 2'er coupe is out down the track some ways or I get a dream deal on a used E92 M3 coupe.

I've had an E36 M3, E46 M3 and a Porsche 911 turbo .. and I love my 135 coupe. There ain't nothing wrong with these little beauties!

The only car I can't really tell the difference is the X5 LCI - may be I just didn't look hard enough.

Love the original style of the headlights and tail lights.
I'm not a fan of the new styles.

Whats with the lack of LED use. My e46 facelift has LED taillights. The e9X LCI has LED indicators etc. It looks so much cleaner! IMO which is most likely bias i reckon the e46 taillights are one of the best looking taillights BMW have ever produced.
