Nurburgring
Ok my fellow Euro 1Addicts. The goal of this thread is to post up for trip planning to the famed Green Hell. Just hit subscribe and keep an eye out.
Here are a couple links for the 'Rings: Nordschleife: http://www.nuerburgring.de/en/angebo...dschleife.html Grand Prix: http://www.nuerburgring.de/en/angebo...ixstrecke.html Just for the hell of it, Hockenheimring as well: http://translate.googleusercontent.c..._LK6XQg7K5orNQ For starters, already this Sunday a trip is being planned between a few members to include other KTown folks(5.0s, Skylines, VDubs, etc) This Sunday the track is open from 0800-1900. So let's plan this. I'm game for leaving around 0600. Maybe meet up at the Burger King on Ramstein or the 24hr? Discuss |

I already have a room at the Ramstein lodge so I will be based up and ready to roll. We can leave at about 0630-0700 and make it there by 0800-0830 with no problem. hopefully it won't rain but if it does its still fun cause there are hardly any cars out there.
If its not raining saturday night I would kinda like to go to that park and ride and see if I can find the M3 owner who doesn't think a 35 series car can run a N/A M3 and enlighten him.

The weather looks like it might be ok as long as we get there early.
135it - You have to take the same route that we do from ramstein, A62 to A1. We could call you as we leave the base, you could wait about 10 minutes and stay to head to A62 and you should link right up with us. If the weather is decent and you feel like making the drive you can meet up at the park and ride in k-town tonight. Have you been to the Ring before?

Any of you guys going to the ring tomorrow have a code reader? I just got my first SES light on the way home from Trier. I've had my catted DP on the car for about three weeks and have never seen a light so I am not convinced that is the cause. I just got done installing my ER charge pipe yesterday though so maybe its related to that? Yesterday and earlier today the car seemed a just a bit underpowered from its norm but I still had no light till this afternoon. I guess the long shot possibility is I got a bad tank of gas. I had just finished topping off the tank before I got the light so it is a possibility.
If you one of you guys has a reader and could bring it along I'll buy your lunch while we are there. Do any of you guys have some advice on this?

For you guys coming in from the Ramstein direction. 135iOreo and I will be meeting at the tankstelle just past the Hasbom exit on the A1 at 0715 leaving around 0730. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...2&z=19&iwloc=A
If you guys want to try and meet there thats cool but if not its all good. We could meet later if we need to. If we get there before you guys how many spaces do you want us to "try" and save?

Sunny but damp. Not many cars yet. I'll be on the lookout.
EDIT: Good times. Great to meet some new people and see some familar faces. Always fun to do a lap or two, even more fun to go out with someone on their first lap. Thanks again everybody.

Side note: now that I'm rid of the RFTs I'm going to have to do the subframe bushings. Just waaaay to much wiggle and squirm back there.
(that's what she said)

Good times as always guys, it was good to finally see some of the Ramstein guys finally make it out. The rain sucked but I'm sure we will all be going again sometime soon. The weather finally cleared up and the sun is shining now and the track is probably dry....figures.
BTW My SES light went away on the way home, hopefully it stays that way

Must have been something not major - like a loose gas cap. I think my SA told me that after 200km the DME will erase "soft" faults(the minor ones). Btw guys - post up some more pics!!! We should do a mass 'Ring trip soon. Dack

Just so you know JB3 stage 2 is a totally different box that you have to order as an upgrade from BMS.

Hahaha I think the upgrade is like $150. Beats buying the complete JB3 stage 2.
