MHD tune on stock-ish 1M

Hi guys,

I’m running a Wagner Evo 1 performance IC and VRSF charge pipe.
Rest of car is stock.

Prior to doing FMIC I was running stage 2 tune and have now switched to Stage 1+. Just wondering what others are doing with same mods?

I’ve tried stage 2+ and it’s more power definitely but it’s quite harsh when I go from WOT to releasing accelerator pedal.

I run stage 2+ with my mods, biggest difference being the midpipe which deletes the secondary cats. Behavior is good, logs look good. I run the 91 octane map routinely since the standard pump gas here is 92 e10, but I have 100 octane available nearby and have blended to run the 93 and 95 octane maps, which obviously make more power. Those logs also looked good, no trouble meeting boost target or load target.

Why would you propagate something you HEARD but have no evidence for or experience with?

Also, removing one or the other set of cats is pointless, since you will make the car non-emissions compliant by doing so...might as well go all the way. You should remove remove ALL the kitties for optimal gains. If a cat works, it's necessarily restrictive. The same applies to the muffler but it's considerably less restrictive and also necessary if you want to drive the car hard on the street without getting the wrong attention.

Plus you won't get the awesome smell of real exhaust without being catless. That's one of my favorite parts of combustion engines.

From what I read, the person who posted the comment did dyno runa on both n54 and n55 pipes back go back and hp was 1hp difference. Have you done Dyno run back to back?

Corection to my above post....about 3 months ago I switched to MHD stage 1+ (V8 beta). Overall performance seems similar. Part throttle drivability is definitely better, especially moderate boost and post shifts.

Since starting this post I’ve also added catless DP’s and am running stage 2+ (V7). Have tried V8 but seems generally not as strong or aggressive as V7.

Logging is highly recommended. You really learn a lot reviewing the data you collect, and it's nice being able to make sure everything is indeed OK.
