Boost gauge options
Trying to figure out my boost gauge options, do any companies offer the full gauge/vent setup?
I would like to see peoples setups. Thanks !

Ive been thinking of this too. I want to get someones old vent and cut it up to fit a small 2inch boost gauge in. I belive ATI makes a gauge mount for the steering column as well.

torque on your phone and a OBD to bluetooth in your OBDII port. You can display boost or lots of other things and design you own gauge or gauge cluster. Cost is about $30, more if you need a mount for your phone.

I actually thought about doing that with my iPad mini but I am pretty sure you cannot run another obdII with the jb4 tune.

You'll have to get a gauge that uses a physical sensor. |

Search on google for "small boost gauge" there is a small LED screen boost gauge with sensor that seems pretty cool and could be put anywhere.

V2/V3 will work as a boost gauge, but you won't have the additional functionality such as various parameters requiring OBDII integration. Only one communication can be open on the channel at a single given time, so if JB4 is active, nothing else can be. But as stated above, reading boost directly from DV/intake manifold is much more accurate that reading from OBDII/DME.

I use a wife OBD II wifi plug with Dash command on my iphone while in the car. Works pretty good. Only downside is it gets a bit annoying that you constantly have to unplug the thing bc its constantly drawing power from the OBD port as it doesn't have an off switch or auto-off.

There was a hardware update to the P3 in February 2012. Mine is the older version.
It's not an issue now I have a Cobb tune, and I run a physical boost tap. When I tried to have it plugged in at the same time as the JB4 the JB4 would freak out and keep resetting as they are fighting over CANBUS bandwidth. Last edited by Nugget; 01-29-2014 at 01:07 AM.. |

There is no picture of the pod though. It looks like its just a electronic boost gauge for $150
