DTC

Hi,
my question is that if you do a race or a drag race is it better to put the DTC at off or on ?
cause when u start the car its on by default but when i take it off i feel that the car as more power if i do a race what should i do ?

You want the DTC off so it will not interfere with the power if you break traction.

Be careful though when you turn DTC off, I was racing a new 2011 Mustang GT at the track last weekend and I only had my DTC partially off for launch control but he had his off all the way and his car came 2" away from crashing into the side wall because the tires lost control and his car started losing control to the right.

Uhm have you tried running against one at the track? Stock they do 12.8 and obviously any person taking a 5.0 to the track isn't stock. He had bolt on's such as headers and I forgot what else.

I raced him again after when he almost crashed his car and he won. Our N55 isn't as powerful as the N54 so thus we can't really take a modded 2011 5.0 Mustang from start to finish. I also had huge traction issues with launch control, spun my wheels all the way through first.

Maybe when I get the Burger quick meth kit then my N55 could take him but not until then.

I love whipping up on 5.0's. The look on their face is priceless.

Sounds like you need better suspension and tires...not more HP. The HP the car is already too much for the stock suspension.

The #1 upgrade I would need right now is LSD to be able to put that power to the ground better but I really don't feel like ponying up 2800$ for it right now.

I do not even think any of the LSD upgrades work for the DCT...at least that is what I was told.

The quaife one is the only one that can be modified to work with our DCT, I have already spoken to Harold about it at HPA after I told him about my track experience. He said that I need the LSD more than any other upgrade but it would be 2800$.

He has it on their N55 DCT shop car. I haven't had a chance to ride in it yet since when I went there the car was getting its trunk repainted but hopefully next time.

Is that $2800 just for the LSD or for the installation as well...because if it is for both i will prob get it in about 2 months.

"For the 135i with DCT it's $2800 for the Quaife complete final drive with exchange(I take your exiting unit as a core). Installation is 3 hours at $120 an hour plus $28 for gear oil."

It's definitely worth it, I just don't know if I want to spend so much on the car just yet, I am already over 2k on mods after ordering a Valentine One last week lol.
