What will be next? I'm going cancel my order over Camry or Accord?
Wake up! It is apples and oranges.

Go ahead and take the test drive if it makes you feel better. Nothing to lose but some time. As a one time VW owner, I know you will realize you made the right choice the first time (and maybe feel a bit sheepish for starting this thread).

The biggest deal is going to be VW service vs. BMW service.
If you skip the BMW I would at least look Audi as the service experience is much better{at least in my part of the world}. |

Keep in mind that ALL BMW's have free maintainence for three years. So a $600 brake job is free. Cant beat that. And its a BMW, that alone sells me and just about anyone else.

This is a great little car, love the looks and they have really elevated their image. In any case, I still cannot justify spending that much on a VW, especially when you can get a well equipped 330i that will drive SOOO much better.

Not just the base price, you will spend more on going if you believe these data.

My friend just bought a Kia SUV and I did not hear he has got any problems with his car. I ain't find Alfa Romeo on the list, strange?

BMW has a better resale value,2 years down the road you might want to trade your car, then the Passat won't be such a good proposition. Not to mention the current Passat looks bloated, especially the rear end,but if that's what strikes your fancy,go for it.
