Need Help deciding best Tuner for 135i

Hello everyone, I have searched the forums in hopes of seeing what would be the best route for a tune. I have a 09 135i, BMS DP-catless, HPF FMIC, BERK Axel back. I want to run a Meth Kit pretty soon. In all forums I've looked some people have certain things and some don't. Since I do have all the bolt ons required. What tuner should I go with?

Procede, JB4, or COBB. Personally i like the JB4 however, i hear good things about all of the above.

Yes. but you should return the car back to it's stock map using the Cobb. then install the JB4

Dd you ask the previous owner if he flashed it back to stock before turn in? I'm not sure a dealer would take it if the ecu doesn't check out. If you asked and he didn't then I would think you would have to get another Cobb. I have an 09 as well and have the jb4 with back end flash. Runs great. And the back end flash is free if you have a bt cable. I would say get a bt cable (either buy or borrow) and a jb4 then go through the whole setup involved with the backend flash. That way you save the flash currently on the car which you know works. Then flash the BMS pump backend flash and install jb4 g5 iso. Then your ready for meth and applicable flash. After a new charge pipe that is. I'm going to be installing inline fuel pump to run 60% E85 and installing a meth kit soon as well. It's all sitting in the basement waiting for some warm wether. Then I'll flash the E85 or race map to the car. Which are also FREE. right now I'm running the pump gas flash and it feels great. If you find yourself in the middle of PA anytime soon I'll let you use my cable. Don't see that happening but you never know. Good luck!

I've been running the Procede Rev2 since I bought the car brand new in 2009. Never had a problem with it and it runs well.
Looking to upgrade to Rev3 only because I'm wanting to install a flex fuel sensor to support E85

Did you dyno? I'm curious about your numbers.

Yep on the dyno it ran 265kwatw with the following mods:
ER FMIC, ER charge pipe, ER dump pipe, tial BOV, BMW performance exhaust, AFE dual cons, procede rev2.
All running on standard pump fuel.

What does 265kwatw convert to?
EDIT: never mind. I looked it up. That's about 360hp at the wheels. I have cxracing fmic, ER charge pipe, BMS catless downpipes, berk tech race axleback, with pump 93 octane and jb4 g5 iso. Can run E85 as is. I had it on the dyno last summer while I kept getting ses light all summer due to o2 sensor problem and misfires i still hit 383whp and 427wtq. Since sorting out the misfires and o2 sensors it feels even better. And the free backend flash made it feel smoother. I'm JB4 all the way. Love the power increase and the steering wheel map switching and gauge high jacking is great. Go jb4 iso and don't look back! It only keeps getting better. The free updates keep fine tuning the car.

Okay so far everyone can agree the jb4 is the best tuner to go with when I plan on adding meth kit? Also does anyone here have any idea realistically how much hp to the wheels I can expect without the meth kit? I have every single bolt installed in the car. I haven searched the forums to see dynos but I can't really seem to find any exact number.... Last part lol does anyone know/is selling a jb4?

Numbers very based on what dyno you used. I've seen, in my opinion, some very inflated numbers with full bolt on and jb4. If you wait a week or two there will be a couple for sale. Check the N54 forums too. People usually post that stuff there more.

You should probably confirm whether or not a COBB map is installed. Just find someone with a stock car and line them up. The JB4 comes with the "maps" preinstalled in the piggyback, so you just go through your gauges and select a setting.

If you're looking to go max (safe) power, you will need a flash tune to adjust your fueling & ignition tables (something the JB4 or PROcede isn't capable of doing alone). I'm running just a COBB PROtune, FBO on Stock Turbos, little over 400 WHP on 93 and 450 on straight E85
