RDA-EBC Slotted brake rotors
I am about to install Akebono ceramic brake pads on my 123d e82 coupe M Sport. I am also going to replace the brake rotors (discs) and looking to use RDA-EBC slotted and dimpled brake rotors as shown here http://www.proservauto.com.au/p/Brak...W-RDA8046D-380.
Has anyone had some first hand experience?

I have those rotors on my 135i with Ferodo DS2500 brake pads. I have done some club track events and they seem fine so far. Do you have any particular concerns?

Some are telling me they make quite a clatter or clicking sound, and drone under heavy braking. It has been suggested that slotted alone is enough.

The pad squeal is quite loud when cold but I never noticed any clatter or droning caused by the rotors.
The ones I have are GD sport rotors. It says on the website they are "wide aperture" rotors, but I didn't notice much difference from the stock ones in terms of the ventilation apertures. |

I ran RDA slotted rotors on a few of my JDM cars. Never cracked them although the RB74's chewed them out pretty quickly.

BSD Blade Discs
I've decided on RDA/EBC BSD Blade discs:
More info is available at their website The issue is the rear discs (rotors) as the 123d has a 76 mm 'hat size'. Fortunately, it seems they make these.
