Lux Angel Eyes burned out

Does anyone has this issue with their Lux Angel Eyes? I bought mine at the end of Oct last year and tonight I received a warning from my car indicating a light is burned out. I checked and it was the right hand side of my angel eyes, it was flickering at first and by the time I arrived home, it's totally dead

. This is LED, isn't it supposed to last a long time? There is a limited one year warranty, so I am still under warranty. Has anyone had experience exchanging angel eyes with Lux under warranty? Thanks for any advice.

It will be not led but ballast I had same just with other brand so they changed ballast under warranty.

My drivers side did the same exact thing. Sent it back to Lux and they sent a new/rebuilt one under warranty. Rimas is right it is the ballast not the LED.

Same thing happened to mine, sent it back and they had it rebuilt. But it burned out again in a few months. Gave them up and went to another brand, which really isn't bright enough...

Do you think that housing the ballast inside headlight unit overheats the ballast itself? Coz I just bought a similar LED unit that recommends not to put the ballast inside the headlight unit.

Had this issue, twice. It's just a PITA to constantly switch them. Not difficult, but just a nuisance. For the cost, they should be more reliable. They look great though!

for Lux on their service though.

It a pain to install this especially on the passenger's side. I hope they address the issue so this thing will last longer, like you said for the price they should be more reliable.

+1. Just had to do it for a fellow member and was reminded why my hand was scuffed for a week following my own install months ago. LOL

In fairness to Lux, it's BMW's crammed engine compartment, the bulbs snap in as 1-2-3, just getting the cover back (especially on passenger side) it's the tough part for anyone with 'normal' sized fists!

For passenger side it is much easier when you unbolt 2 vacuum turbo tanks and let them loose a bit...

I'm starting to think it was a good idea to stay stock. I hated having to change the bulbs on my A4 every few months (known issue with the older A4s)
