Tyre Storage
I need a solution to store my wheels/tyres when they are not in use.
What does everyone think of these? http://www.ecstuning.com/News/WheelT...aign=WheelTree Ideally I'd like to have a wall rack but don't have the space. Seems like good value. |

Looks like a good idea Vinney. The "tire carcass stress caused when wheels are leaned against a wall for extended periods" made me laugh though.

I normally stack them up like that anyway and put a piece of cardboard/foam in between the wheel/tyre. Definitely don't sit them upright for long period of time.

Looks good, but if it where an ingenious design, they would have put castor wheels on the base of the tree for easy moving

I'm thinking about ordering a couple of these to see how they go. Price seems reasonable. Does anyone know of anything else out there that will do the job though?

Looks like a watse of money if you are going to leave it on the floor.
If there was a way you could connect an eye bolt to it and hang it from your garage ceiling via a pully then you would be saving space. i have mine stacked on a mezzanine floor in the garage. its a little difficult to get them up there but i dont change them over that often.

Storing Tyres
If you want to cover them to keep dust, cobwebs etc from getting all over them, a $10 kettle BBQ cover from Bunnings is the perfect fit for a 4 high stack and looks nice and tidy.
