Yup! One in-cabin and if you have a suction mount, a random drive around the block clip. Danke Schoen =)

No suction mount - so only a in-cabin will do

OK, time to contribute to this thread.

My soon to be setup: Catless and resonator-less N54 mids. OEM 135i muffler with M3post DIY muffler mod. I'm aiming for a BMW PE-style note but with more burble.

I got the magnaflow equivalent of Vibrant 1792. Not sure what they are as I just told my guy to get me something similar in the magnaflow range.

I can ask him when I am over there on Tuesday.

Check out my youtube video of my exhaust if you haven't AR Catless DP + Custom Catless Resonated Midpipes + BMW PE.
How customised are your mids? Did they fabricate a whole new pipe setup or just alter the stock pipes? I am liking the idea of going for a complete 3" setup but not sure if its cheaper to get the maddad mids and alter them or just start from scratch?

Fabricate a whole new pipes - 2.5" all the way. I was thinking of going with one of the mids but it worked out to be cheaper (if you factor shipping) and I get warranty from my guy if something goes wrong

Didn't see the point of 3" setup as the DP tapers to 2.5" anyway.

ps. I will take a video on my way to my missus house later this arvo for some in cabin noise.

Ok, that sounds good that it was cheaper to get it customised locally rather than get from OS. AR 's website says their dps are 3" in/out so I'm going with those.

I got AR DPs too but they taper to 2.5", I don't think there are any DP off the shelf that is a true 3" as it all has to mate to the stock exhaust.

I see. I guess it would be difficult to mod them to be 3" all the way?

It just seems that running fbo+meth and getting upwards of 400rwhp would make the 2.5" piping a bit restrictive?

Yeah not sure how restrictive it is - someone with more knowledge in that area might know.

Rai, u get much cabin noise? Can hear the exhaust with the windows open but with the windows shut its not much louder than stock.

Only heard mine flat chat from the oudside and once around work with a workmate slipping the clutch really bad. Still not 100% on what it sounds like from the outside. 2 mates said it sounds sick but still unsure...

Cabin noise is good IMO that is why I always have the window down so I can hear it

I can't exactly remember the noise level of a stock exhaust but I don't think is that much louder.

I will take some video between window up and window down.

No traffic light GP runs? Son, I am disappointed. Haha jks!

Perfect video Rey. Thanks for the effort. So it's settled that in cabin noise is definitely bearable. Now I just need to figure out if my neighbours will report me if I keep waking them up at late night with a similar setup... even coasting in neutral down the hill and into the garage would probably be too loud?

Are you still planning on going back to the stock n54 mids at some stage?

I am keen to see how the catless/triple resonator setup turns out. I'm still undecided if I will run completely catless and will most likely put the stock mids back on once the dp's are done. If its a drastic power reduction over completely catless, I might reconsider the alternatives.

If this works i will stay catless. Car sounds awesome at wot so if this gets rid of the rasp and makes it sound similar to n54 mids it will be the perfect setup.
