I'm looking pretty good to making it to this event at the moment. Not booked in yet. Still a bit scared after last time...

I've always got at least a semi.

Yeah, I fitted them this afternoon.
Fitted my clutch stop a few days ago. Wish I'd done this earlier. Made a huge difference to my ham fisted gear changes.

Hopefully no snap oversteer this time! I mounted my RE-11s this morning, no semi's just yet.

I had a look at the running schedule for tomorrow and you're running with the big boys!

I hear the clutch stop mod is one of the easiest and best mods you can do too. Good stuff.

Yeah, I'm in the "A" group, just. Looks like I'll be the slowest runner in that group, which is not a great thing. The one advantage I'll have over most of them is acceleration & straight line speed. Unfortunately, if/when they come up behind me I'll have to back off on the straights to let them pass. I also think that myself & Rob in the R35 GTR will be the only ones in that group that don't have a roll cage, don't have a harness, didn't arrive by trailer & don't need to be driven home.
I may see if I can be moved back to group B...

I'd stick with Group A Tim. They put you in that group for a reason

Just hang at the back of the pack and give yourself enough room. Kristian said they reevaluate the groups during lunch break anyway.

That's a shame Anthony. Hopefully we can catch up at the end of the day.

I wish i knew. The engine is back out of the car again because the cams were not set properly. They just have to be adjusted and then they should be able to tune it.

Finally picked up the E36 M3 on anzac day and did a few sneaky runs up and down the street. It is one crazy car, dog box is crazy noisy, sounds like a rally car on the inside. Its going to be hard to get used not using a clutch changing up through the gears....

That's a shame, hopefully it will be ready soon.

I'm really keen to see the new M3 in action, sounds like a total beast. Are you going to any track days anytime soon? It's too bad you can't bring it out tomorrow.

Sorry I didn't make it guys - looked out the window at 6.00 and it was pissing down, plus the weather report wasn't promising.

Thanks anyway to Vinney for carting my OCC around expecting me to pick it up. I will get it one day.

Had an absolute blast today. It was a bit wet in the morning but it held off for the rest of the day. Met some new faces and learnt a lot about the car too. Also I'm a lot more familiar with the track, which is bloody fun! It's not very forgiving though but no where near as scary as it looks from the pits.

PB of the day is 1:03 on street tyres. I'll be back!!

Fantastic day & some great times from Biz & Vinney. Especially Vinney. 1'03" is awesome Vinney, especially for you first time at Lakeside - & on street tyres. How quick would you be on my semi-slicks?! Maybe I need to copy your KW set-up, maybe the auto's a better track option or maybe I need bigger testicles.

One thing my manual 135 did seem to be good for today was keeping cool & not hitting limp mode. Water temp was peaking at only 84 deg C, oil at 124 deg C & intake temp (with standard IC) ranged between 40 & 60 deg C around the track. No misfire today after putting new plugs in on Anzac Day too.

Quickest car out there today was an old 2002 with a newly built E30 M3 engine in it. 58".
