So I scratched my leather seat...
Anyone know a good leather repair kit or place in Brisbane to have it touched up? I have the beige leather and it's really bugging me

I'd love to get a new bolster lol. But why would they fix it under warranty if I scratched it by accident?

I'm still reeling from this morning - I found out someone has put a black permanent marker line down the side of my centre console arm-rest.
Looks like a pen was in someone's pocket and it marked the arm rest as they sat down. I cant figure out when I have had a passenger in the car though since I last saw the car from the passenger side. THought perhaps it might have been when I left the car at valet parking (twice) last week. The mark was certainly not there when I went on the breakky run last weekend. Its driving my nuts. (and I haven't been able to clean it off at all - its on White Nappa leather) Going to have words at the dealer tomorrow as I paid for the leather protection pack, and from my perspective this leather cops every little mark. Buggered if I see any protection being done...

Went to North Shore BMW (Car was less than a year old) Told them this sort of damage shouldnt occur to such a new car blah blah blah She took pictures, Waited 30 mins and said they'd replace under warranty. I initially thought i was getting whole new seat but they just replaced the bolster :/ |

Just watched some leather repair videos on youtube using self help kits, looks promising but I'm too scared to try it myself. Anyone tried leather repair kits before??
Although I think I'll have a hard time finding a colour match, should've just gotten black leather!! |

He apparently buffs the leather, then re tans the scuff.. I couldn't make the appointment, so cant comment on the outcome, but they gauranteed me it would be unnoticeable. |

When delivered it had a weird mark like a cigarette burn in the leather on the side of the arm rest. To fix it they sent out a "Leather Doctor" to do a repair. If I look hard now I think I can find it, but mostly I forget he was ever there. Watching him work he seemed to fill the hole and melt in some surface finish which was coloured to match, then rolled over a new texture to blend in with the existing leather. It helps that it was a burgundy leather. Not sure if he could do that with a light colour in a more noticable location with the same result.

I know a guy in Brisbane who had a leather doctor franchise who tried to retire but they get him back for all the difficult car work. I can send details if you pm me.

Try the new M5 seats first. They are huge, but might still fit in the 1er.
