135 engine or turbo in 120i

Can you put a 135 engine n54 or a turbo on a BMW 120i 2011?

I am sure you can since someone put the M3 V8 in it.

Just depend on how much $$$ you are willing to throw at it!

The possibility are endless if you have an endless stream of $$$!

Why not just buy a 135i then. There are supercharger kits out there for 120i if you're interested. Otherwise save your dosh.

Or if you are keen on swapping, do something like the S65.

The cost to turbo your engine, set up a intercooler system, sort out the exhaust system, fit a oil cooler system, sort out the engine management system, replace the radiator, upgrade the brakes, and fit an LSD. $18,000.+++
To supply and fit a N54 engine and trans wiring and so on you would start with a front cut, fuel tank and pump, labour and assorted extras $26,000 +++
SO DO NOT DO IT
take the loss and trade in the car on what you want, and go from there with your mods

I suggest some light weight 17" wheels, such as the dforce 17x8" ET40 from **********s or bavauto. That's probably the best performance gain you can get for a 120i.

Speaking of the M135i, any ideas how much it'll cost? Will the Hatch be cheaper than the Coupe? (70k?)

Also it seem awfully close in spec to the current 1 Series M Coupe....... do you reckon it'll be a bargain in disguise? Definitely the hottest hatch on the planet and the only one with rwd!

1st point is true, but a 1M is also tuneable to be the exact same with benefit of the lighter flywheel.

F20 looks like a dog's arse IMO.

Dunno why you would bother with engine swap when you could just buy a 135i for much less after trading in your car
