Those AutoFinesse bottles look like some sort of fancy fu fu hair care products you use on that hair you don't want to mess up by driving a 'vert. Seriously, let us know how they work!

The bin for the microfiber towels is a great idea. To my wife's consternation, I announced that the garage is too dusty to be a good home for my towels, so they have moved inside. If I get a sealed tub I would be ok moving them back out into the garage. I'm not too embarrassed to admit I have a similar quantity of towels. I may be worse... I actually have different types and colors of microfiber towels depending on their purpose.

Ya, I know, I feel like the auto finesse bottles should be in the salon I always mock in Owen2001's photos! Will try out the "spritz" interior spray this weekend that I got it as a pseudo cockpit premium upgrade, mostly due to the smell, but also because since I have the leatherette, those sprays do dual duty going on the seats as well.

I just wanted something to put those new towels in as opposed to carrying them around in trash bags. So, that was my impulsive $5 splurge at target. Works especially well for me since I live in an apartment, have limited use of my left hand, and was easy to put my spray wax in the bin and carry it all down.

Sadly, I also have a lot more microfiber towels and a couple of blue glass ones, but those are not pictured and don't get a special bin.

Costco sells them as a 35-pack! Take it up with them! =P

Oh, and they aren't "rags" they are "premium micro fiber towels." hahaha! I could make a rag joke right now but I won't. Too tired and too incoherent.

Well, that at least makes me feel better. This was my first foray into fancy products (other than for my hair of course!) and a container of any sort for my towels. I just wanted to try this Auto Finesse Spritz since it seems to have all the same characteristics as the cockpit premium, but with a nicer smell (to me). Will let you guys know if it's any good.

How do you like these towels? Good for quick detailer / spray wax / window cleaning? I've been buying a bunch of the cobra supreme 530's but I think they're actually starting to leave fibers on the car and glass which isn't making me very happy.

I 'embarrassingly' also fall into this category. New thread idea: Shameful detailing area photos.

I'd actually recommend the towels. I've used packages of costco microfiber towels for years, but the new ones I got in november seem greatly improved over previous "generations" which I would just consider okay. One side has a little more nap than the other and they seem to be of higher quality overall now. Plus, you can't beat the price. Imagine the math of buying 35 cobra towels.

Perhaps it would be good therapy to post shameful detailing products photos. But nobody will want to start that thread...unless their DA sponsor makes them as part of their 12 steps. =P We'd also have to make sure a sad sarah mclachlan song is playing of course while people read that thread.

Wait, gas or electric? =P

Now we know what to get you for christmas - one of those master blasters. Who knows, maybe she won't think a leaf blower is all that bad when she sees how much one of those drying things is.

For what it's worth, I dust mine using bald eagle feathers.

Chunner, you are OK in my book; I have a Metrovac Master Blaster -- the 8 HP, 2 motor version -- and I don't care what anyone thinks. They are awesome....the best way to dry your wheels and rotors (no rust) and get the water out of all the cracks. It was a present to myself during a big sale, haha (not that the sale price makes it any more justifiable!).

I am jealous of your Master Blaster. I am adding it to my list... somewhere above an engine tune but below blacklines.

I mentioned the Master Blaster idea to my wife. She already thinks that all of us 1ADDICTS are nuts, but anybody drying their car with a leaf blower or other such device should probably be locked up. This is all great for me, since the further you guys push the boundaries of auto ownership normalcy, the less flak I get for using multiple wash buckets, the occasional delivery of new detailing products, etc. Obviously she thinks 1ADDICTS is the perfect name for this forum...

You could always go with the ol' flour in the leaf blower prank like this guy did. Suddenly, drying your car with it will seem like a good use in comparison. O=)

This probably explains why I'm not married.

Oh that's not to say my wife didn't laugh at me also when that Master Blaster showed up on the doorstep, but she knows me well. I got over it.

Master Blaster is an awesome tool! A bit overkill but works great. I'm very happy with mine.

135is owners: Do you guys worry about dealer service techs driving your car hard when you guys have warranty work done or drop of your car for the complimentary maintenance? Given how your cars have the PE and PPK2, which makes it sound so good.

No and I think that's silly considering all the M cars that are in the BMW lineup. Techs work on a lot of cars that are more rare and faster. I'd only worry about something like this this if it were some hs kid doing a valet job.

Quick question, I want to get a "performance" type spoiler for my car. I wanted to get some opinions before I place an order. I was thinking painted black to match the other black accents of the car but I can't decide if it would look awkward/too ricey. I was also thinking alpine white with a painted black stripe across the top just as a slight accent. Don't really want CF, what does everyone think?
