Congrats! Yours looks like mine. Mineral grey with Oyster leather is becoming popular!

Rikmsport - beautiful!!!!!!

Request - can someone please snap a shot of the brake duct/cooling duct in the front? I have these two tabs that are visible on mine and I'm wondering if I knocked something loose during my off-track excursion last week.

Just in case though, I went ahead and made it clear to everyone. O=) And I don't plan on selling the car ever. Taking it with me to my grave.

Here's what I'm wondering about:

The tab protruding from the front towards the back. Looks like it should be under the black plastic.

mb135is: My car seems to have a couple of differences. My horizontal struts are painted, and I don't seem to have the tabs depicted on your photos. Here are my ducts, left to right:

I do have the P7MFA code from the VIN decoder website that states it as "Sports Edition" in my file.

When I called to activate my BMW assist, they did recognize it as a new 135is, which was nice (unlike gregthegr8's recent experience).
Yea had the same head scratching moment with mine a while back.

In fact rest assured that while a 135is is easy to replicate with parts theirs two things that is easy to distinguish the real ones, as others have said A: your vin, and for an easy tell B: the 135is dash badge. Everything is purchasable except for that badge.
At least that's what BMW told me when I asked about my car. The dash badge is not a tangible item nor will they sell them to public plus theirs no part number. so please correct me if I'm wrong ... As I am a lot of the time ....

Did some dr. Colorchipping today. Stuff works great. Small chips are basically gone. Big chip is much better.

Wow, thanks for the photos and review. Looks great and I've always wondered how well that stuff worked and color-matched.

I swear by it. If you do it properly and have patience to do the process several times, it makes bad chips almost invisible up close and totally invisible from 5 feet.

I already know what I'm doing with mine as soon as I get mine. Opticoat followed with clear bra, hardwire my V1, and add BMW Performance carbon trunk lip. I have a set of Volk RE-30's that would sit PERFECTLY on this car but it'd be my 3rd set and seems overkill. I plan on driving on the 313's everyday and switching to a dedicated winter set in the colder months. I guess I could use it for the occasional track day...

OMG!!! Nice ride!!! I plan to do the same lip and rear spoiler on my AW when I get it.

Do you plan on switching out your tails to black lines to go with your black accents?

I like the lights that came with it.. They are bright ass red to match my coral red interior... lol...

Slek lip is 2x2 weave and about 3-4 weeks to make it.. It is very close to bmw performance pieces on the trunk and rear diffuser...

I have new BMW performance rotors on and i'm getting some more wrap done on the front maybe the roof ... I am still on the fence for 1m mirrors with bmw performance carbon covers... That is about 1000 for the mirrors and another 800 for the covers..

My full M3 suspension will be put on during the winter when I dont drive the car.. The shop will give me a better rate if i leave it there and they work on it when they have free time.. I personally dont care how long they have it since I wont drive it in the rain..

I think i'm going to be finished with this wish list once these items are completed. I really loving this car.. I had an e36 M3 AW and the 135is reminds me so much of it..

I think I could have bought an e92 M3 for what I've spent on this project but I got to build it..

GS that looks great. You really have me thinking about that slek lip now. They've always looked too "aftermarket" for me, but that looks damn good. I'd have to see it in person, I think. And if I did that, I'd have to do the rear lip spoiler, too. Slippery slope! OR I could just keep it as is...diffuser only.

I just got home from having 30% tint installed... love the look. Will get an Escort 9500ix or Max hardwired within the next week or two. I'm 250 miles away from the 1200-mile break-in period, at which time I'll probably install a set of Michelin PSSs. No plans for wheels at this time... my next wheel purchase will likely be a set of winter wheels and tires.

Can't wait to see how yours looks with the 30% tint as that's what I got and occasionally I wish I had 35% instead. I'm rockin the michelins as well. Quit copying me, unless you would like to purchase my special cocomats (hint hint!).
