Hans' 118d Advantage
This is probably the most expensive 1'er on this forum. And that's NOT something to be proud of, but because of the Danish tax regulations, this baby is worth 83,000 USD or 56,500 EUR.
Anyway, though I really drool on your pictures of well-specced 1'ers that I can only dream of I am happy about my 118d

Exactly. That's not a BMW thing alone. Cars are enormously expensive here i Denmark.

I'm from Norway and I can confirm that taxes here are pretty extreme. I've ordered a 118d which will "only" cost me around $60.000 with some extras. But, income levels here are also higher than in many other countries, I guess that goes for Denmark as well. So it sort of evens out a little.
By the way, cool car Hans. Are those 17" 141 rims with runflats? Have you by any chance compared them with 16", and if so, is there a big difference in ride comfort? I found it hard to choose between the two sizes you see... Oh, and hello, I'm new on the forum. =) |

Din bil är skitfin! The Danish car taxes are horrific. But I think you've picked the most important options to get as much as possible out of it.
Where in Denmark are you situated? |

I've tried, 16", 17" and 18". There's no real difference in comfort between the 16 and 17, but I must admit 18" was to hard for me, hence my choice. I think the 17" is the optimal mix between comfort and looks.
