Update:

earlier today I removed the diffuser, i cleaned and washed it.

I forgot to take a picture of the "before" but it was just that ridiculously ugly grey color and I have since put one coat of plastidip on and so far it looks better than the grille, I believe this is partially due to the even lines of the diffuser compared to the grille. So far I like the outcome. I will post pictures later today!

Hey just saw this. I did my grilles back in July, held up flawlessly. Also keep in mind the grilles can be split apart into two pieces each, easier to get it coated properly.

Diffuser done!!! looks pretty good, not 100% satisfied with the texture but i believe I figured out why it seems so course. If you spray a very thin layer at a time it lays rather flat, regardless of distance from the dipped object. If you respray much at all on a single coat it becomes much more thick (obviously). This stuff doesn't work quite like spray paint but it has many of the same qualities.

Oh yea, I forgot to mention my steering wheel trim piece has been peeling for quite sometime so I stripped off the rubbery stuff and decided to try and dip it... Here's what I got!!

The wheel trim looks spiffy.
Throw up a few pics once it is installed!

I am getting a serious serious itch to do a rather "large" Plastidip project!

Wheels, diffuser, and grille to be completed soon hopefully!

What color Should I do the wheels in? I am thinking Olive Drab green, let me know what you think!! My car is BSM.

I am kind of scared and want some positive reenforcement on this little endeavor
Personally i wouldent use it for wheels or ur defuser..i would only do my emblems and small things like that

I think it looks quite good on your black car, certainly makes the rear looker meaner where I think the grey stock colour kind of makes it look cheap.

I did about 5 because I wanted an even solid thick coat, you could get away with three but recommend 5. It looks great still!
