Detailling Addict

Hey all,

After several vessel delays, my car finally arrived in NJ a week ago (Sat 02/07), but I'm still waiting for it...
I went to my dealer this morning and signed all the paperwork so I just have to pick it up sometime this week.
In the meantime, I ordered some goodies (still more to come)...let me know what you guys think.

be careful with the water blade bud...make sure it's 100% clean before you use it. the ONE time i said "eh it looks clean enough," it took me a good 2 or 3 hours of polishing and waxing to fix. haven't touched it since

I've been using my water blade for almost 10 years now....it's nice and soft from all the use. I would swear by it that it never made a scratch in my clear.......until recently. I'm not completely sure that some marks came from it or not but I think they may have. Now that I have Jet Black I can see everything. I'm going to keep a close eye on it from now on. It would be a shame because it's such a great tool to use when drying your car. I used it for 3 years on my burgundy Porsche and never saw a scratch.

If you have a light color you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Since the car is brand new, I'm not going to take care of the leather just now, but I'll definitely get these two!

PLEASE PLEASE don't use that water blade. It will do nothing but induce fine scratches, despite what others have said.

If you're truly a detailing addict the car will be kept slick enough that a quick 2 min blow of the car with a leaf blower will blow 98% of the water off the car, leaving the small amount remaining to be dried with a microfibre waffle towel.

Trust me, no point buying the expensive Zaino stuff and then using a agricultural item like a water blade....

Add some microfiber cloth to you collection so you don't get lint on everything that you clean.

I have always used Zymol Carbon on our dark colored cars. Wait for a warm, but not hot day, take your ring off, melt a little in your hands and rub it on. It really smells great.

Start using leather treatments now so it doesn't get dry and crack later.

id agree with and 1.... I use a leaf blower to dry my car and touch it up with a micro fiber cloth. Zaino is definatly good stuff! Its the only product I use on my 1

Also, Z-CS is AMAZING!!!

Is is ok to dry the whole car with several microfiber cloth?
