All I know is you = idiot the guy obviously knew he had the better car, so he had nothing to prove to you, got out of the way and let you pass.

"revving at you" lol please kid! You probably heard the semi-aggressive stock exhaust of the 1M and took it personal.

This is too funny...

I'm not one to call someone an idiot, but re-read my original post especially towards the end, then get back to me.

The advantages of the 1M are a higher ratio rear end (quicker acceleration), a limited slip differential (better traction), lower weight (quicker accelration), bigger tires (better traction), and higher hp/torque. The DCT is a really nice automatic with very quick shifts but it will not make up for all of that. If the 135i is chipped, maybe but stock to stock, I think the answer is pretty obvious (assuming no missed shifts by the 1M driver).

Unless of course, it's RnmEvo9 in his 135i....then all bets are off because he will put the 1M driver in his place!

On that note 1Ms are drag kings and will put buslengths on ZR1s and similar cars. Wow, some of you guys really need to get off your high horse lol.

I agree with everything JimD stated though...

@ high horse...I drive the same car as you, as I await my 1M...it is a better car than what I currently drive, which makes it a better car than what you currently drive. No surprise there.

how original, e-peen stroking.

so what EVEN if you win an 1M. You spent $s modding it, his is stock. Grats?

I'd save the mod $ and buy the next better car.

Every car can be made faster than the next car. You will never be the fastest. It's just about how much you want to spend. What really makes a difference is the driver... unless of course you have a vagina and are driving an automatic... than your just the same as the next car... well no I'm sorry you do have to press the gas pedal down quicker/first

i didn't know the car you buy and mod is really just a dick measuring contest. Shit seems like i didn't get the memo...

I agree. With all that said, the 135 MSport is a very nice car and was on my very short list last year until I learned about the 1M. I liked it over the M3, but the only M3 I could test had and automatic, oops DCT.

+1

do whatever you want with your car, it's still no 1M.

One minor clarification, that was made to me at the ///M Design Center. Out of habit we call the differential LSD, but this is not a Limited Slip Differential on the 1M. It is a Full Lock differential. The difference is that it will lock the rear wheels up to 100%, a limited slip will not do 100% lock up, it will just reduce slip up to a point.

from what I've seen,

135i Coupe = 3373 lbs
1M Coupe = 3296 lbs

Not much but technically, lighter.

+1 ... if people remove rear seat cushions, spare tires, jacks, etc to remove any weight possible, a 77-lb difference can be considered a decent advantage specially when getting the car moving from a stop, during acceleration, cornering etc. Also, a lot of this weight reduction can be credited to the lack of a sunroof, which is a crucial spot to remove weight from, considering the importance of a low center of gravity.
