Window Tinting Group Buy - Stuttgart
Anyone interested in doing some sort of group buy window tinting? I'm definitely wanting to get mine done.
I know David had his done recently -- maybe if we get a group together we can get the price down... David, can you jump in here with the info of where you got it done? |

IIRC someone posted an offer just like that in the Facebook-Group a few days before the Welt meet. I think it may even have been David.

Hey, sorry to be late on this.
Alrighty, the deal is below: 120 will get your windows tinted to whatever % you want or prefer. The guy is not certified, but it is very professional. He will even tell you what he thinks will look best with your car color before he puts it on. He will do it indoors, and use heat gun, and all proper treatment. He even gets it to work with the auto window roll that BMW does. It is a warranty guarantee as long as you're in Germany. He lives in Ansbach, but is willing to travel on a weekend under a couple circumstances. 1. He has a place to stay the night prior so he can start early. I am pretty sure I can handle that, got a spare room and a couch. 2. We start early and a car is ready to go and the flow keeps going. We could set up an order. 3. We have a garaged area with power. Meza0531 (Casey with the loud ass 335) said he could probly cover this if we kept it under wraps. 4. People show up when they need to and keep the ball rolling 5. Spread the good word about his work. We would need at least 4 people, maybe 5 or 6 depending on what he says. I already have 1, maybe 2 for sure, plus Griffi is 3. Anyone else?

So it sounds like we might have enough! Now just to set a date. I'm gone June 30 - July 7, but apart from that, I should be around.

1. Adgriffi (35% on all 5)
2. stuttgartusa (20% on 3) 3. Meza0531 4. Justachillin2 5. Elsabor67 ( back 3. 35%) 6. Xcution (5 windows at 20%) Ok, so room for 1 more probly, and then if Nick ends up not wanting to do it after all, a spot for him. We can aim for sometime mid June. I'll call him tomorrow and get some potential dates.

Alright, list is full for now. Will set up a second date if we get a second group interested. I will talk with him, and see when is good, and also get prices for everyone. Please post what you plan on having done so I can run it by him.

I plan on having the whole thing done, including driver / passenger windows. Still not sure what percentage... I think tint tends to look darker on AW, especially with a black interior... opinions?

Do you work on a US base? Might want to think twice about doing the front windows if you do. Just sayin'.

Why so? I've had mine done for the past month almost, and no one has said anything. No gate guards, no MP's, and especially no high ranking officers of either 4 Star command in our area. Even multiple Polizei have seen me now, and no one has said a word.

Considering he had it only for a month and he's leaving within the next few, I kinda doubt he did or will?!

We had this same discussion the other day when I was offering it to the Stuttgart guys. Griffi won't be going through an inspection for 2 more years, he is up to, and understands what will have to happen if he is here any longer. I PCS soon, I'm in the clear. As far as everyone else, the tinting guy will check registrations and give his best advice, the guys is genuine, not just out for a buck.

Not saying the tint guy is trying to scam anyone, just making sure everyone know's the caveats.
I prefer to look of uniform tint all around but don't want the hassle of redoing it every year now.

I would recommend anyone that is getting their windows tinted...to include the front passenger/driver to go through registration and make sure it covers you until you leave.
I know a lot of people who have their tins all around 5% and been here for two years. They just take off and put back on. |
