What happens when.......
so to all the guys getting new wheels what happens when your tires pop? You don't have a spare or would you want to run on your nice rim right? Do you guys carry a spare or do you guys risk it?
The reason I ask is because I want some csl reps. |

AAA is so inexpensive, it doesn't make sense to not have it for yourself and your other family members that drive. If you use their discount 5-10 times per year on things like restaurants, hotels, etc. it will pay for itself in no time. Nate

If you can afford a $25,000+ vehicle, you can afford AAA Plus at $75/year which allows you to be towed up to 100 miles. And you can use it as long as you are present in the emergency, so if you're in a friends car and you get stuck on the road, you can call for road side assistance. It's well worth it.

BMWs come with roadside assistance.. no need for a separate AAA membership.
Btw, if you're talking about "popping" (aka blowouts), runflats are not immune to blowouts either... For a flat, I have the M Mobility kit, which is very similar to the Conti kit that Gill posted. |

Exactly - no worries for the first 4 years/50,000 miles. Tom |

What about all the talk about the GOO that goes into the tire. It messes up the TPMS sensors. These run-craps might make me forget about a BMW. BULLSHIT.

In almost 30 years of driving and well in excess of a half a million miles, I have never had a flat tire. This is just about the last thing I would ever worry about, runflats or not. Just make sure you have tread on them, check them each week when you check pressures (I am taking them off and on at the track or autocross regularly anyway) and no issues. I have made many 1000 plus mile trips without a spare or pump or anything in the car.
Those that refuse to look at what they have are the ones who will have issues. Simple maintenance.

BIG difference between reg and RFT. I haven't had a flat in light years, but I have been all over the internet for 3 years and have read about MANY MANY people with BMW's getting flats and bulges in the sidewall with the OEM Run flats. |
