I need some help, premature tire wear on 3 series XI

I just had 4 tires replaced by BMW(12000 mi). When the car was new I ran the tires to 7700 without rotating, (as the manual states nothing about rotating) the front tires were cupped bad, the dealer rotated the tires and sent in a inquiry to BMW. At 9000 mi I was called back to the dealer and had an allignment (off a little), around 11,0000 miles the noise became very loud again. Has any 325XI owner had similar issues?

The dealer is suggesting rotation every 3000 mi, which I understand will proabably help minmize the uneven wear, but hardly a reasonable solution for BMW?

too soft of tires?
or combination of soft tires and aggresive stance for the all-wheel drive?

Not happy with the marketing of a product that boasts low maintence and then having to rotate twice as often as other vehicles.

any thoughts?: Has anyone had this happen and do you have a remedy?

There's a bunch of members experiencing this problem, and it's not limited to the XI's. I think BMW may have the same issue as Nissan did with the Z a few years back. Nissan ended up recalling all Z's and giving owners new front tires.

The dealer just order all four of my tires from BMW. For what the dealer told me "BMW is going to a different tire altogether". Your dealer needs to get an approval from BMW for the tires. My front two tires are cupping I have less then 12k mile and got the car in May 19, 05

My dealer told me at this time he could only order the bridgestones.
Good to hear that BMW is changing.
To me BMW needs to make a recomendation and or adjust the allignement to remedy the problem.
