I agree with pretty much everything you said in your post. The 1 is a tighter car but the 3 does have way more sex appeal, as well the 1 dosen photograph well at all. A done up 1 on the street is pretty sick id say

A few people have also used a certain tool to stretch the diameter of the stock tips so they fit onto the performance exhaust, so that might work as well.

The sport bumper is growing on me I think I need to see a performance bumper in person to make a decision. The performance bumper looks better on darker colors in my opinion, maybe for the reasons you describe. I didn't do anything to the lights on my E92 and probably won't do anything to these either. As much as I would love Euro headlights, that $2500 can be put to much better use in other areas. The amber is terrible though, no doubt about that The shape of the headlights is terrible too, but I'll save that for another day lol (really loved my E92 headlights).

The 1 has potential. Can't put my finger on why it doesn't photograph well, but I'm enjoying the look in my garage.

Thanks Kristian, nice E81 you have. I will get photos soon when the new wheels are mounted. Kidney grills arrived today so the first mod is done

Suspension
Will do the M3 bushing mod to get rid of sloppiness and add M3 sways as well. Coilovers will be KW V2s. They are reasonably priced and I liked them on my 335i. A moderate drop will do wonders for this cars appearance. Wheels will be Alufelgen CS7s wrapped in RE-11s - can't wait to ditch the RFTs. I will likely run camber plates so I can fit some 235 or 245 rubber up front. Can anyone comment on rubbing up front using 235 or 245 tires with ET48 (18x18") offset wheels? Will aggressive camber be needed causing wacky tire wear on the street?

Engine
I'm not overly concerned about power, I just want some easy bolt-on mods and car that runs smooth like stock. I ran a JB3 on my 335i with catless downpipes and the thing was just so jerky in 1st gear I hated driving it like that. I'm hoping the BMW performance software is much smoother. Don't really care about the power difference as long as things run smooth. I like the HPF intercooler because they have lots of experience with boosted BMWs and the unit utilizes factory plumbing (bolt-on). The Corsa exhaust has a nice clean sound to it, but I need some hyperblack tips. The tips that come on the stock 135i are perfect, I honestly wish the BMW performance exhaust had tips just them and I would just buy that.

Cosmetics
No shiny silver parts allowed - CF, gunmetal, or black accessories only Would like the car to have an aggressive, yet OEM appearance. I'm in love with the performance front bumper and I'm surprised I don't see more people on this forum running it. A black HPF intercooler will look menacing sitting in the mouth of this bumper. Thanks to ZMP, minimal interior work is needed, but the glacier silver trim has to go. BMW Performance CF trim will look excellent with the all black interior. Really wish BMW put the amber reflectors into the bumper instead of the headlight like they did on the E92, bastards.
I want to see those 18” Alufelgen CS7 Wheels (Gunmetal) so bad

Go for it...

It has the potencial to be the best looking E82 in the place
