Hi OP, forgive my ignorance, the 1M is my first car that is supposed to be my last car (ie worthy of detailing).
How does detailing make the car look its best even at the detailed level: does it apply another layer, or does in polish/abbrase the factory clearcoat or .... are ther solutions for either or ... . Are there considerations for methodes that either make the car look better or protect it longer ? If not page long answers, would also appreciate links with recommended non-manufacturing views. THX |

LSP, last stage product can make some difference and usually is personal preference. It can be a wax or various sealant. The Gtechniq product in this case is a sealant that has some anti scratch properties. The exo I talked about is a coat that decreases surface tension so water just runs off. Depending on the LSP you will need to look after it properly, and have different maintenance need. The C1 in this case is relatively straight forward just require proper washing technique, you can only remove it with a polish. The Exo however can only be washed with a mild car wash and no wheel cleaners or bug removers as it greatly decreases the life of the product. There is a detailing section in the forum and the detailers there always happy to help. You will need to learn proper washing techniques. There are detailing forums as well so you might want to start with detailing world.

Thats often how I explain my detailing services to weary customers. I've been doing this a long time and believe me you can significantly improve the aesthetic life of a car through consistent quality detailing. It should be considered just another form of regular AND preventative maintenance for your car. |
