Scoop! BMW 1-series Cabrio Life Cycle Impulse (LCI facelift).

Here it is the first pictures of the BMW 1er Cabrio LCi (Life Cycle Impulse)
undergoing testing in Munich, with both the 1er Coupe and Cabrio currently undergoing filming and photography in Cape Town , South Africa.

Like the Coupe , The Cabrio receives the latest changes including updated LED technology in the front and rear lights and reprofiled front bumpers.
The bulbous appearance of the bumpers is enhanced by a fake panel covering the lower intakes , but the Active E Scoop photographs showcase the undisguised changes.

New Exterior colors , wheel options and a reprofiled M-Sport kit as well as the seperate 135i M-Sport aerodynamic kit. New connected drive technology and for Europe a 116d Coupe, bring 1er Coupe affordability further down the ladder.

The debut will be in December with the World Premiere taking place at the NAIAS , Detroit 2011. The changes will also feature on the 1M Coupe which will debut at the same time.

If I was doing the LCI I would either keep the rear lights, or make the new ones so beautiful that they would make me forget about the current ones. I would get the current 3 series interior, or fix the problem with the arm rest, the abrupt ending of the dashboard on the right side, add some vents to the back seats and make the front air vents look better. I am also not too sure about them eyebrows! Can only hope that the M-Pack will make this car, at the very least, as pretty as it is now.

It's still ugly. The only 1 series I've like so far was a 135i sport... The rest are unattractive.

I don't understand what "testing" they have to do. Its new headlights, new tail lights and a new front bumper...

I think some of these "spy" photos are more marketing than testing...

I do NOT like the stooopid eye brow.
You'd think BMW would have gotten the message with the previous 5 series eye brow that also looked stooopid.
It adds nothing, nothing....well it adds some uglyness.

this is a good point of view. and i agree with that. people are not that much stupid that they don`t understand it. "preview marketing" that would also declare the new color.
with small wheels and standard suspension it really looks girly

Interesting that the colour combo is red with a red interior. That is one of the combos BMW does not recommend.

I agree with everyone about the eyebrows. Awful, just awful.

I also note that this LCI is one of the mildest I have seen. Basically headlights and tail lights.

And, address the lacking suspension.

But, I'm sure that will have to wait for the new model, which I hope removed the belly line. That's really the one thing I actually dislike about the 1's overall look.

Now, it looks sleepy as well as portly. Seems the 1 isn't aging well.

Time for a reboot!
