Failed water or fuel pump while on Cobb
I was wondering if anyone had a fuel pump or water pump fail while tuned and under warranty. If so, were you able to uninstall before taking it/towing it in?
Thanks

I'm sure there have and haven't been. My advise would be to uninstall the tune; everyone gets a different answer from different BMW dealerships

My water pump took a dump on me while I was tuned with Cobb. As soon as I overheated, I pulled over conveniently at a BMW dealership and uninstalled it right there. My water pump was covered under CPO warranty with no issues.

Depends on the dealer.
I got my car towed from near a race track, while FBO with JB4 and they replaced the water pump no problem. |

Hmm. So do you guys keep the Cobb with you all the time? I keep mine at home and would def want to uninstall before taking it in.

I keep mine in the car 24/7 for the purposes of logging, and switching maps if I can't find 93 in a pinch.

I usually don't, I keep it at home too. Afraid if I leave it in the glovebox or something in the heat constantly something would go wrong with it . I'm out of warranty so I could careless if it was installed if I went to the dealership lol

I keep mine on a pro clip console mount. Use it for logging and switching maps. And I am still under warranty and my SA doesn't care about my other mods as long as i remove my tune.

Thanks for the feedback. I am worried about something heating up in the glove box if I keep it in the car and... "there goes my stock map". Esp the southern heat down here.
I guess if I break down, I'm first calling the wife to bring the Cobb so I can uninstall it (Side note, I wonder if the cleared codes as a result of uninstalling would cause an issue... Hmmm) Anyways, I don't think my SA will be as cool about it as some of you if I tow it in with a tune.
