I really want to get one of these too but I cannot find any info on them or anyone who has it installed. Looks great though! Bump!

Want so bad, are the new ones running a better OS?
I've heard there were issues with the early units.

you can use the phone app and stream but then your data charges might go through the roof. Not ideal. |

Just the thread I was looking for...
Does anyone know about how well it integrates with the factory bluetooth? I am uncertain about the quality of the Bluetooth this device offers but I know the one that comes stock in the car is pretty good (I've used it windows down and the receiver could hear me clearly). I'm hoping it'll be a seamless integration but I haven't been able to find that info anywhere. Also wondering how it integrates with the USB port below the center armrest. I'm hoping I can plug my phone through that USB port and have it do all the things it currently does (and more). I think once I figure these two things out, I'm ready to buy. My boss is about to buy the N6 for his E39 M5 so I'll be able to leverage some of his experiences as well.

I've just installed one of these units in my car and it works great, but you do lose some things.
My installer said that you can't use the USB under the armrest, so installed USB cable in glovebox. Same with using existing mic. Gotta use mic that comes with unit. I was told by the distributor here in Aus that the OEM Bluetooth will work with the unit but my installer opted to use the integrated Bluetooth which works great but you no longer have the ability to use voice activated phone dialling. Anything else you need to know shoot me a question. |
