angel eyes -- can't figure this out
I finally figured it out. If you open the door, the lights go out (even if the FOB is still in). Sometimes after parking I'll pop open the door to check if I backed into the spot properly. Seems obvious now, ugh.
So I always keep my lights on the automatic setting. Every morning when I arrive at the train station, I kill the engine and listen to the radio for a while until the train arrives. My angel eyes used to stay lit until I ejected the key. Now for some reason they go off as soon as I kill the engine. I can't figure out why. Any ideas? It's not a big deal, I just hate not knowing what is going on. Last edited by jmc777; 10-04-2012 at 02:51 PM.. |

The only thing I can think of is that you are holding down the push start button longer than before. You get what I am saying? Instead of going from engine running to ignition on you are going to ignition off. Its worth a try.

Just a guess: Even though you're arriving at a similar time each day, the ambient light sensor is detecting more light because of the earlier sunrise.
I know my angel eye "welcome lights" only come on in the darkness.

Your battery charge could be getting weak. Not sure how long that drive is but if you take your car for a good long drive (~45min) and it fixes it, then there you have it, but if not...then ?

In the settings menu there's an option to say how long the lights stay on for. I can't remember what the symbol but I think I saw it in the manual.
Sorry for being vague. |
